5.17.2.1 IBuffer Marking and Operating

Buffers can be marked using different criteria to be operated on. Common operations include saving and deleting buffers. Note that deleting a buffer populated with a visited file is not deleting the visited file. If no buffer is marked, then the buffer under the current point is operated on.

Operations

Pressing “M More›” from the Operations section in the main menu will raise a menu (casual-ibuffer-operations-tmenu) providing additional commands to operate on a buffer.

Mark

Pressing “t Type›” from the Operations section in the main menu will raise a menu (casual-ibuffer-mark-tmenu) to mark buffers by type.

Mark Regexp

Pressing “r Regexp›” from the Operations section in the main menu will raise a menu (casual-ibuffer-mark-regexp-tmenu) to mark buffers by regexp.
